It was once said that Photography as a means of communication may give rise to ideas and this collection put together by collector Wulf Herzogenoth with the help of the Goethe inistitue aims to help viewers explore that idea. There are photos of people making art, photos of art and photos as art works in themselves by eight different respected German photographers. Or artists, which ever way you would like to see them…

Through 12/12 Alexander Slusarev

Some might not know photographer Alexander Slusarev, but he’s an artist worth getting familiar with. Equipped with the skills to combine visual arts and social issues, he is praised for his broad vision. Only black and white photos will be on display. According to Slusarev a clarity of perception and emotion comes only from looking at the pictures in simple contrasts rather than forcing the eye to switch between colours. Which came as news to us, but we’re happy to trust him.
